Can Purpose be Professional & Personal?

Charlotte published her book, ‘The Purpose Myth’ shortly before the pandemic. In it she explored the phenomenon of people actively seeking a greater purpose to their lives and where we should look to find it. In this talk Charlotte takes this further, given the impact the pandemic has had on our sense of ourselves. She reflects on what has mattered most in the career and life choices that many millions have been forced to take, or chosen to make through lockdowns and as the working environment has changed. She discusses the role our jobs and careers can play in fulfilling the desire for something bigger than ourselves and our individual experience, and where the limitations might be.
